His Holiness the Pope’s meeting with the Coptic Orthodox Church delegation that participated in the meetings of the Eleventh General Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Karlsruhe, Germany (August 31 – September 8, 2022)
On Wednesday, September 28, 2022 AD, corresponding to Tut 18, 1739 A.M., His Holiness Pope Tawadros II met with the official delegation of the Coptic Church that participated in the meetings of the Eleventh General Assembly of the World Council of Churches (WCC), which was held in Karlsruhe, Germany, from August 31 to September 8, 2022.
His Holiness listened to the delegation’s report on the meeting’s activities, which was attended by approximately four thousand people representing more than 375 churches from around the world, making it the most diverse Christian gathering in the world.
Some delegation members from various foreign countries also participated in the meeting online via Zoom. It is worth noting that Prof. Dr. Magdy Latif El-Sindy, Dean of the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, participated in the Coptic Church delegation attending the World Council of Churches meetings and participated in presenting the delegation’s report to His Holiness the Pope.
