Activities of the “Institutional Leadership Approach in the Church” symposium at the papal headquarters in Abbassia

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, chaired an interactive symposium organized by the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development (COPTICAD) under the title “Institutional Leadership in the Church: Why Has It Become a Necessity?” The event, held this morning at the papal headquarters in Cairo, was attended by a number of bishops, priests, and ministers from various dioceses and service sectors.

The seminar focused on discussing the concept and importance of institutional leadership, the challenges facing its implementation in church work, and the pivotal role of the Institute in disseminating this culture, which is championed by His Holiness the Pope. The event concluded with several recommendations, most notably the necessity of building the capacities of leaders at all levels and equipping them with institutional leadership skills. This approach is derived from the expertise the Institute has accumulated over a decade of work in the field of institutional development.

This symposium is part of a series of events organized by COPTICAD to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its founding by His Holiness the Pope in 2015.
