Activities of the “Church Management” Forum for Priests of the Diocese of Zagazig and Minya al-Qamh
The activities of the priests’ forum of the Diocese of Zagazig and Minya Al Qamh were launched in the presence of His Grace Bishop Timotheos, Bishop of the Diocese, on Thursday, March 10, 2022, corresponding to 2 Baramhat 1738 A.M., at the “Land of Joy” Conference Center – Zagazig. The forum was held under the slogan “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine” (Col 5:17).
Upon the gracious invitation of His Grace the esteemed Anba Timotheos, Prof. Dr. Magdy Latif El-Sandy, Dean of the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development, participated by delivering the first lecture of the Forum titled “He Must Manage His Own Household Well,” and the second lecture titled “I Press Toward the Goal.” The two lectures addressed the responsibility for successful administration within the Church and how to set goals for church services.
The Forum concluded with a pastoral lecture delivered by His Grace the esteemed Anba Timotheos, titled “And the Child Grew,” concerning the role of the priest in nurturing his spiritual children. The activities of the “Church Administration” Forum then concluded at the end of the day with the participating priests engaging in rich and effective discussions.
