Launch of the third training course for development workers at the centers of Beba, Al-Fashn, and Samsta

Under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, and the blessings of His Grace the esteemed Anba Epiphanius (Bishop of Pba, Al-Fashn, and Samasta) and His Grace the esteemed Anba Julius (General Bishop of the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services (BLESS) and the churches of Old Cairo area), the General Committee of Partners for Development in the Coptic Church organized the third training course for the development team in the Diocese of Pba, Al-Fashn, and Samasta. The course was held at St. Mark’s Hall – Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services (BLESS) for Integrated Care – Anba Roueis, Al-Abbasia.

The training course activities were launched on Thursday, September 30, 2021, corresponding to 20 Tout 1738 A.M., for the development team of the Diocese of Pba, Al-Fashn, and Samasta (Beni Suef).

This course falls within the framework of the initiative launched by Partners for Development in the Coptic Orthodox Church in selected centers in February 2021. The intensive training course began on September 30th and extended over four days, concluding on October 3, 2021. The course included (14) interactive training sessions.

Representatives of the initiative’s partner organizations participated in the event, including the Bishopric of Public, Social and Ecumenical Services, the Social Welfare Secretariat at the Papal Headquarters, the Anba Abraam Service at St. Mark’s Church in Heliopolis, the Shepherd and Mother of Light Service, the Anba Abraam Service for Those Who Have No One to Remember Them, and the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development (Copticad).

The training is being led by the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, headed by Dr. Magdy Latif, Dean of the Institute, and is targeting 25 priests and servants working in the Diocesan Development Office, which was established to coordinate all development efforts in the Diocese, under the supervision of His Grace Bishop Stephanos.
