The regional training course in church management for the dioceses of Upper Egypt has begun at the Monastery of the Archangel Michael in Naqada (November 23-26, 2022).
Under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and hosted by His Grace Bishop Pimen, Bishop of Naqada and Qus, the training course offered by the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development to the dioceses of Upper Egypt began at the Monastery of the Archangel Michael in Naqada from November 23 to 26, 2022, corresponding to 14-17 Hathor 1739 A.M.
This course includes the participation of (62) priests, service secretaries, and church committee members from the dioceses of Naqada, Qus, Armant, Esna, Luxor, and Aswan. It is held under the patronage of their esteemed Eminences: Anba Bimen, Metropolitan of Naqada and Qus; Anba Yusab, General Bishop of Luxor; Anba Yuaqim, General Bishop of Esna and Armant; and Anba Bishoy, Bishop of Aswan.
The course aims to train participants on the principles and methods of church administration, wise stewardship, and institutional work in church service. This is achieved through interactive training and workshops involving trainee groups.

The training is conducted by a number of experienced servants in various administrative fields, led by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Magdy Latif Al-Sindi.
It’s worth noting that this is the fourth regional training course offered by the institute this year, 2022. Similar courses were previously held for the dioceses of Upper Egypt in Assiut, under the patronage of His Grace Bishop Youannis, and for the Delta region in Abiar Tanta, under the patronage of His Grace Bishop Paula. These courses come in response to the recommendations of the Holy Synod’s eighth seminar in November 2021.
