The launch of the basic training course activities in the dioceses of Mit Ghamr, El-Mahalla El-Kubra, and Tanta.

Under the patronage of His Grace the esteemed Anba Paula, Metropolitan of Tanta and its dependencies in Gharbia, and His Grace the esteemed Anba Saleeb, Bishop of Mit Ghamr, Diquados, Balad El-Sharqiya, and its dependencies in Dakahlia, the activities of the Basic Training Course commenced on Monday, April 4, corresponding to 26 Baramhat, and extended until Saturday, April 9, 2022, corresponding to 1 Bermoda, 1738 A.M.

The course was held for 48 trainees, comprising priests (17), service secretaries, and church committee members from the churches of the two dioceses (4 female servants and 27 male servants). The training sessions, spanning 6 days, were held at the St. Mina Conference Building – St. Mina Monastery Center in Ebiar, Gharbia.

Their Eminences Bishop Paula and Bishop Salib also gave general speeches on “Management in the Holy Bible” and the characteristics of management in the Coptic Orthodox Church.

The training sessions include interactive activities and assignments that contribute to spreading the concepts of institutional development within churches, with the possibility of learning about practical application methods for all session topics.

This course is held within the framework of implementing some of the recommendations of the Eighth Seminar of the Holy Synod, which convened at the Logos Center in Wadi El-Natrun from November 16-19, 2021, under the title “He Who Watches from Above.” The Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development was blessed with the directive from His Holiness Pope Tawadros II to prepare the Eighth Seminar on “Church Administration and Development.” The seminar aimed to present proposed tools—discussed during its sessions—to assist the bishop in developing administrative stewardship within the dioceses and monasteries.
