Presenting the “Basic Training Course in Church Management and Development” to the second and third batches of priests and servants of the churches of the Diocese of North Shubra during December 2019.
Under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Angelos, General Bishop of the Churches of the Northern Shubra District, the General Basic Course was held for the second group of churches from the district from December 1 to December 11, 2019, at the Institute’s headquarters in the Fifth Settlement. Priests and service leaders from three churches participated in the course: St. George’s (Khamrawiya), St. Mark’s Church in Shubra, and the Church of the Virgin Mary.
The basic training course for the third group of priests and service leaders was held from December 15 to December 25, 2019. It included four churches: the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Martyr Mar Girgis (in Ard Ayoub), the Church of the Martyr Mar Girgis (in the coast), the Church of Saint George (in Abu Taqia), and the Church of Saint Mark and Pope Athanasius (in Abu Wafia).
This brings the total number of churches in the Shubra Al-Kheima area that benefited from the institute’s training during 2019 to 11, and the total number of participating priests, service leaders, and church councils to 66.
