The Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development participated in the launch ceremony of COC Channel.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II launched “COC TV,” the channel belonging to the Coptic Orthodox Church, which is broadcast via social media platforms. Dr. Magdy Latif, the Dean of the Institute, along with a number of the Institute’s members, attended the celebration held by the Media Center of the Coptic Orthodox Church on the occasion of its 7th anniversary. The event took place at the Anba Roueis Theater in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Al-Abbasia.
During the celebration, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II praised this new channel, stating that its goal would be to present all facts alongside the diversity of content it will address in the upcoming period. “COC – Coptic Orthodox Channel” is considered the first specialized channel on Social Media, not a satellite channel. The video duration does not exceed 5 minutes only, for presenting news segments, church events, meetings of His Holiness the Pope, and educational, instructional, and informative clips, whereas satellite channel programs often exceed half an hour or an hour.
