The Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development participated in the meeting of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, which was held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, with the leadership of the Anba Abram Service for Development at St. Mark’s Church in New Cairo (under the auspices of Fr. Daoud Lamei). The meeting took place at the Papal Headquarters in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Al-Abbasia.
His Holiness the Pope delivered a speech in which he welcomed all attendees and thanked all those responsible for this service for their extensive and ongoing activity across all dioceses of the See of St. Mark within Egypt, carried out with dedication and organization since 1998. He emphasized that they present a distinguished model of a serving church that has successfully attracted a large number of its children as volunteer servants to serve informal areas and deprived villages. They strive to offer programs and developmental projects in all areas of development (their number reached 23 technical services in 2019) and cooperate with Christian civil associations that serve the entire community.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Magdy Latif, Dean of the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, and Engineer Hesham El-Gawly, a certified trainer at the institute. It’s worth noting that the institute has close cooperation with the Anba Abraam Service.
