His Holiness the Pope concludes the activities of the Church Management Course for forty-four new priests (December 2021)

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II concluded the basic training course in “Church Management and Development” on Thursday, December 30, 2021 (Kihak 21, 1738 A.M.). The course was delivered to a total of 44 new priests during the forty-day period following their ordination. The course was held at the Logos Center at the papal headquarters in the Monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadi El Natrun.
The training was delivered by professors from the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, led by Dr. Magdy Latif Al-Sindi, Dean of the Institute, from December 24 to 30, 2021.
His Holiness the Pope delivered a spiritual speech on the seven keys to a priest’s success (humility, the Bible, constant repentance, practical love, setting an example, self-denial, and concern for the final outcome). His Holiness also engaged the priests in a dialogue about how they benefited from the training and about their new lives and church service.
The training covered practical concepts and methods in church management and institutional work in the church, the pillars of wise management (good management or governance in the church), the principles of development from a Christian perspective, and the role of the priest in managing his spiritual life, family, and church service.
A group of priests from Cairo and Alexandria participated in the spiritual axis of the training.
جدير بالذكرأن هذا التدريب التأسيسي للآباء الكهنة في التدبير الكنسي قد أرساه قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني، حيث تم تنفيذه مع أربع مجموعات من الآباء الكهنة الذين تمت سيامتهم بيد قداسة البابا خلال الفترة من ٢٠١٨ إلى ٢٠٢١. كما يأتي هذا التدريب تفعيلاً لإحدى توصيات السيمنار الثامن للمجمع المقدس والذي تم عقده في نوفمبر ٢٠٢١ عن التدبير الكنسي والتنمية.
