The launch of the basic training course for a number of new priests at the Logos Conference Center.
Under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the basic training course for 35 new priests was launched on 4 Baramouda 1737 A.M., corresponding to April 12, 2021, at the Logos Conference Center.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II delivered the opening speech on Monday, April 12, 2021, on the first day of the basic training course of the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, held in the Deacon Emad Sobhi Hall at the Logos Conference Center in Wadi El Natrun.
His Holiness the Pope began his speech by expressing his joy at the presence of a number of priests from several governorates, namely Cairo, Alexandria, the Red Sea, Luxor, Beheira, and America. He also expressed his happiness that they would begin their service after participating in the basic training course organized by the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development for one week, during the forty holy days that a priest spends before assuming the responsibility of the Divine Liturgy. His Holiness also expressed his pleasure at the presence of His Grace the esteemed Anba Ilarion and some of the fathers from the Red Sea.
His Holiness the Pope stated that the process of study and learning is very important, and he emphasized to the priests the importance of making the most of it and that they will appreciate the significance of the training course when it is completed. His Holiness then addressed his priest sons in a spiritual speech about “The Priestly Vocation: Greatness and Splendor.”
