Implementing a basic training course for a number of new priests in the Diocese of Qus and Naqada

Under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and the supervision of His Grace the esteemed Anba Bimen, Metropolitan of Naqada and Qus and Head of the Monastery of the Archangel Michael in the Wilderness of Al-Asas, Diocese of Qena, the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development implemented the specialized training program on “Wise Stewardship” for (9) new priests of the Diocese of Naqada and Qus. The program took place from Saturday, September 7 to Monday, September 9, 2024 (2-4 Nasie 1740 A.M.).

The participating priests learned during the training course – which was presented by a distinguished group of the Institute’s trainers – about the meaning of wise stewardship in the Church, its biblical, ecclesiastical, and scientific basis, and its importance for the priest as an administrator. They also learned about the pillars of wise stewardship and how they integrate within the Church, the importance of having a vision for the church leader, how to acquire the necessary skills to develop a strategic plan for the church, and how to apply the principles of participation within the church.
