The Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development participated in the meeting of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, which was held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, with the leaders of the Anba Abraam Development Service at St. Mark's Church in Heliopolis (under the auspices of Father Daoud Lamei), at the papal headquarters in St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbassia. His Holiness the Pope delivered a speech in which he welcomed all attendees and thanked all those in charge of this service for their extensive and diligent work in all dioceses of the Coptic Church in Egypt since 1998. He emphasized that they present a distinguished model of a serving church that has succeeded in attracting a large number of its children as volunteer servants to serve informal settlements and deprived villages. The church strives to provide development programs and projects in all areas of development (the number reached 23 technical services in 2019), in cooperation with Christian civil society organizations that serve the entire community.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Magdy Latif, Dean of the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development, and Engineer Hesham El-Gawly, a certified trainer at the institute. It's worth noting that the institute has close cooperation with the Anba Abraam Service.
